This week in tec diving…. Dive-addicted guest, Victoria from Canada started Enriched Air Nitrox and Sidemount course with our Tec Instructor Sandy. She started diving last year and since then she has been diving non-stop. She thought it’s time she takes the next challenge and she was right about that.
It was the first time for Victoria to try a harness type BCD and to have dual regulators with a long hose configuration. In the beginning, she was surprised by the difference to the approach but she was able to take it in quite well and be able to handle it flawlessly by the end of her course.
Meanwhile over in Lembeh, Steven, a professional photographer from the UK, decided to try sidemount. He loved the comfortable feeling of diving in sidemount and he will definitely choose sidemount for his future tec course.
Dive guides in Lembeh got all excited to try out the Poseidon MK6 rebreather in the house reef. They went through basic handling of CCRs and assisting rebreather divers, so they are more than ready to guide rebreather divers in the future.
You might have lots of questions about the basic technical stuff, such as “Why use a long hose, harness, and dual tanks?,” so please feel free to ask us any question! We’ll be more than happy to help you understand. Sometimes people have been diving for a while and are looking to improve themselves, but don’t know the right course to take. Join us at our weekly free TEC try-out and find out what will be your next adventure!
