Yeah, I passed all my swim tests 🙂 800m snorkeling, 400m swimming , 100m tired diver tow, 15 minute floating and last but not least the equipment exchange! Now I am super tired from all the hard work!
It was a good experience, pushing my own limits. Orientation and navigation was a big part of last week. I trained my skills in guiding. Yesterday Chris, my divemaster trainie buddy, and I spent the day exploring and noting down every little bit of Lembongan bay to make sure that we have all the information we need to created a map for other divers to use.
I thought I already knew a lot about diving but now, after finishing my dive master manual, I had no idea how much information was in diving and everything that goes on in the background with every breath I take and I still have the feeling that I don’t know enough. But hopefully I still have a bit of time for developed my knowledge. I am slowly working my way through my Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving to make sure I am all ready for my last dive master exam.
Today I start assisting on a open water course with instructor Karoline. I am excited to help two students work their way through the open water course! Well, I have to go jump in the pool now. More soon!
