This week in Lembongan… it has been a full family affair with Commander Laurent bringing nephew Coco under his wing and showing him the ways of Jacques Cousteau. Coco was able to finish his PADI Advance Open Water course thanks to Laurent’s knowledge.
The start of the week was a flurry of Manta Rays with at least one boat traveling to manta bay for the first few days and even a Mola Mola sighting at Sental. In true Two Fish style when all over dive centres will not, the Masters and Commanders sit down and study the nautical charts, the gravitational pull of the moon against the rotation of the earth to work out the tides and the waves to find that perfect little window where we can sneak our dive boat around the corner to manta bay to give all Two Fish guests the chance to spot a Manta. All went to plan with a boat full of divers eager to see the Mantas. The group was not disappointed, one manta, one nurse shark, one turtle and the whole dive site to themselves.
Both Chris and Anna, our two divemasters in training are powering through the course with each day getting harder and harder for them as more responsibilities start flying their way! Keep a lookout for details of their course in the ‘Adventures of DMT…’ blogs.
Also this week we have seen, juvenile warty frog fish, ribbon eels, garden eels, blue spotted sting rays, scorpion leaf fish, pigmy seahorse, barracuda, loads of schooling banner fish (which is a good sign for the Mola Molas) scorpion fish, stone fish and juvenile angel fish!
