Learn with mantas
Nusa Lembongan is home of the manta’s and mola-mola that made diving in Bali famous, and we can just-about guarantee that you’ll see some on one of your course dives!
Certain sites from Amed, Bali can also welcome large pelagics like Mola Molas, and we can offer day-trips to Nusa Lembongan from Amed as well.
Learn on a shipwreck!
The famous USAT Liberty wreck is in Tulamben, Bali and this is a wreck dive for every diver level since the wreck starts at about 5mts and goes down to 30+mts. Its also only 15mins from our dive center in Amed, Bali so is within easy reach.
Tulamben also offers other dive sites such Coral Garden and Drop-off, all these sites are great for both macro and also for seeing larger fish like gravelly and snappers along with the few turtles that frequently visit the wreck and surrounding area.
Discover Scuba Diving
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to find out but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving will let you try scuba to see if you like it. It is an extremely popular activity and while it is not an actual scuba certification, during the Discover Scuba Diving experience you’ll learn first a bit of diving theory followed by the use of scuba equipment in shallow water, after which you will be able to get an easy introduction to exploring the underwater world.
What You Will Learn:
You learn the basics you need to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. You will:
• Learn what wearing scuba equipment feels like and how easy it is to move around underwater while wearing it
• Find out what it’s like to breathe underwater and learn whether you can be comfortable there
• Learn some basic skills and safety rules that will carry over to your full scuba certification course when you take the next step
The skills you learn here may be credited towards a portion of the full PADI Open Water Diver course certification.
The Fun Part
There is nothing like breathing underwater for the very first time. It takes a little getting used to – after all, human beings weren’t designed to do that – but after a few minutes of awestruck wonder, most participants realise how easy scuba diving really is. The biggest challenge instructors have with the Discover Scuba Diving program is not coaxing participants into the water, but coaxing them out when the program is over. The fun part? It’s all fun! Plus, you can get credit. Since your Discover Scuba Diving program includes an actual scuba dive in open water, your experience may count toward PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver certification.
The Scuba Gear You Will Use
All the equipment you will need is included in the price of the Discover Scuba Diving experience. You’ll use all the basic scuba gear including a mask , snorkel and fins, a buoyancy compensating jacket that also carries your scuba tank, a scuba regulator to breathe from and instrumentation to monitor depth and air supply. You will also wear a scuba wetsuit and a weight system.
The Learning Materials You Will Need
Just your willingness and undivided attention.
To enroll in the PADI Discover Scuba Diving Programme you must be 10 years or older.

The PADI Bubblemaker program is an introduction to the thrill of breathing underwater, it is aimed at kids who want to try scuba diving in a safe and controlled environment. It’s fun, easy and safe. Children should be comfortable in the water, but they don’t have to be super swimmers. With youngsters in mind, the maximum depth is only 2 metres. Typical sessions last about an hour (sign up, gear up and fun included)
What Will They Learn?
After watching a 30 min video, the first dive will involve learning some skills in the pool, and getting comfortable with the equipment.
Under the supervision of a PADI Instructor, practise swimming underwater with full scuba gear, keep blowing plenty of bubbles and learn some cool tricks. Scuba School is really fun!
Have you ever tried an upside-down, underwater, egg and spoon race, while remembering to blow bubbles? What about a game of underwater frisbee? Add some underwater fun to your vacation in Bunaken.
Learn how to:
- breathe underwater
- swim with fins
- perform underwater tricks
You’ll then make a real scuba dive in a real dive site! Diving to a maximum depth of 2m in the crystal clear waters and meeting all the local tropical reef fish, and if you’re really lucky, one of the resident Turtles or Manta’s (depending on your location). After this you will receive a super-cool PADI certificate!
