Week 4 of Eco Divemaster Internship now in Bunaken

What an eventful week this last week of my Eco Divemaster Internship has been!

The week began with assisting my instructor Dion on Eli’s Junior Open Water course. This was my first experience assisting on a whole Open Water course and it was very rewarding. I will never forget Eli’s first time under water. He was a bit stressed at the surface from salt water getting in his eyes but as soon as we pointed out a turtle swimming past he completely relaxed. For the rest of the dive every so often I could hear a muffled “wow” coming out of his regulator.

A huge shout out to Kris, new Divemaster on Lembongan! Our DMT who is now not our DMT but DM after finishing up yesterday and completing his equipment exchange with Rein down in Lembongan. It’s been a great course and you’ve been a huge help to the operation (with the small exception of your short term memory issues!). Now, bring on friday and the snorkel test!

Week 4 of Divemaster Internship in Lembongan

My last blog update! Time goes by too quick! The last week have been abit more relaxed, I assisted in a rescue diver course which was really fun since I had to be the victim. During two days I lost my arm to a Mola Mola, I got a bad case of gas narcosis and panicked all the time. Fun couple of days!
