Wooo, I’m finally a Divemaster! My last week in Lembongan was very busy, but it was great to see all the signatures being signed off on my form. Day by day getting closer and closer to that final signature!
This is my fourth week as a dive master intern. This week my brother has come over to do his advanced course at Bunaken. I assisted on his course and since it was my last few days at Two Fish Bunaken I wrapped up some of my pending swim tests and the dive mapping activity.
This week started off with us spotting a Sperm Whale being washed ashore at the small jetty at Bunaken. I was pretty thrilled as this was the first time I had seen a whale although it was in a pretty bad state.
I’m well into my Divemaster course now. I’m beginning to get the hang of putting together what’s needed for each dive trip.
This week I’ve been learning the art of guiding, much to the amusement of my instructors. There have been underwater fights, lost equipment, and some very bad buoyancy!
I have been at Two Fish Divers, Bunaken, for a while now but it was only last week that I was formally introduced to the dive master internship.
It’s been 2 weeks, so I’m now halfway through my divemaster course. But I still feel like there is so much more to learn! This week has been very busy, which was good as it meant I had the opportunity to assist in Discover Scuba Diving, Open Water and Advanced Open Water courses.
After 2 weeks of my Divemaster Internship at Two Fish in Nusa Lembongan I have already experienced a lot. Time flies! It’s very interesting to see what’s going on in a Dive center. Who is in charge of what and what needs to be done, so everything works without problems and – most importing thing -pleases the guest. As a tourist you wouldn’t think how much work and effort there is behind the scene, so diving is safe and fun.
Yeah, I passed all my swim tests 🙂 800m snorkeling, 400m swimming , 100m tired diver tow, 15 minute floating and last but not least the equipment exchange! Now I am super tired from all the hard work!
Can’t believe I only have one week left on the island. I have done a lot, but still have a busy week ahead of me to get the last things done for my DM certification. Hopefully it will go pretty smoothly….
Wow time flies! Another busy week has passed. I have already learned a whole lot but I did realize that there is so much more that I have to learn…
Things are starting to get serious on this little tropical island. With only two weeks to go, I have to be able to handle more and more of the things that are needed from a DM to keep a dive center running.
Unbelievable… I’ve only been here one week and it already feels like home. The description about the DM Course on the Two Fish website really helped me make a decision on which dive center to choose.
Three weeks done, three to go. Time flies when you are diving and studying all day, every day. That’s a good thing I guess, it means I’m having fun. But it’s also a bit sad, since it means that I’m going home soon.
The Adventures of Ben: Swim Tests, Guiding and Mantas!
Having welcomed Chris last week, it’s now time to welcome Divemaster Trainee Anna from Zurich. Anna will do her Rescue course before starting her DM Course and as I have my Rescue Assessment in next couple of days, time assisting on Anna’s rescue course will be great for me!
Hi there Bloggers!
The last week as a Divemaster Trainee (DMT) has flown by!
First, a big welcome to Chris from Norway, who started his DMT this week. It’s great to have a DMT buddy to work and dive with!
Hi there Two Fish Bloggers. My name is Ben from the United Kingdom and I am one week into my four week Divemaster internship on the beautiful island of Lembongan. I recently moved from Singapore to Shanghai and with a bit of time on my hands I decided it was time to do the DM course.
7 weeks of diving down! Finished both my rescue diving course and my Divemaster. Its sad to say goodbye to all the new friends I’ve made but I hope to see everybody somewhere down the track.
Yeahhh! It’s done, I’m officially a PADI Divemaster. This last week just flew by and the time was over so very fast.
After 6 amazing weeks on Lembongan, with two ear infections that extended the time here a little, I finally finished my internship at Two Fish and officially became a Divemaster.
This week we gained a lot speed, I finished my theory and passed both the exams, yeah!
This last week started with the transfer back from Lembeh to Bunaken. I was sad to leave Lembeh behind, but knew I’d also enjoy the diving in Bunaken again and I hoped my ears would heal fast.
I am now half way into my six-week internship as DM in Bunaken and Lembeh. It has has been three weeks of lots of work, lots of learning-experiences and lots of diving. Well, last week has been out of the water. I have got something as trivial as a common cold, but equalising has been impossible! Oh well, done my theory, my exam’s and some workshops. But I really want to get wet again! I am going to Lembeh now from Bunaken for one week. Strange how much home a dive center will become in a short time. Almost like leaving home to leave Bunaken now. But so looking forward to Lembeh.
After two trips to Sanur to the highly recommended female ear doctor I finally recovered from my infection. So back in the water at last. Lucky me was able to assist in an Advanced Open Water course. It was much better to assist in a real course than in a course with fake students. Also I was very lucky that we had a Discover Scuba Diving student and it was very interesting to see him take in all the new impressions and help him explore the underwater world.
