This week in Bunaken… Today is the last day of the PADI IDC (Instructor Development Course) and we are having two quite nervous and stressed out candidates polishing their skills to perfection in the pool this afternoon. Tomorrow the examinor from PADI arrives and the dreaded IE (Instructor Examination) kicks off with written exams.
Our Feb PADI IDC Bunaken program started a few days ago, and this time its an all-girls contingent. Pictured on the right are Mia, Claire and Gwen. Gwen is from France and Mia is from Finland, they are the newbies hoping to become new PADI IDC Instructors.
This week in Bunaken… Dugong o’hoy! Luke from Australia got a very nice surprise when he did some snorkelling on the dive site Muka, just in front of the Two Fish Divers resort. While enjoying the reef ledge something made him turn around and just a couple of meters behind him, a few meters down, swam a dugong!
It’s September and it’s that time of the year again! The PADI Instructor Development Course has just begun with PADI Course Director Marlies Lang here at Two Fish Divers Bunaken. A frequent visitor to Two Fish Divers, James, has put himself up to the challenge of becoming a PADI instructor. He’s only just started this journey a few days ago, beginning with his Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor course. Here’s a sneak peak into some of the seriously fun times he had during his EFR Instructor course. His students, Marlies, Ken and Sandy weren’t the sharpest to begin, but he James helped correct their mistakes. Can you find what was being done wrong?
