Would you believe it? Pete saw during his open water course six eagle rays at Tanjung II with instructor Dion. That is a good start into the underwater world, unfortunately he will be spoilt forever!

Mowing the pool
If the pool in the resort would have been the yard, I would have mowed the whole area at that time. One of the Divemaster assignments is to be able to demonstrate the confined water skills and one of them is the BCD removal and replacement. The first time I practiced the skills, I used my pocket weights instead of a weight belt. Well, I will never make THAT mistake again…
Imagine you are at the moment in life where you would be able to choose whatever you like to do, you do not have any responsibilities and could choose anything you want; what pops up in your mind? What would you love to do or experience? From land to sea In January this year, I…
IDC Bunaken Bunaken, north Sulawesi, the Liveaboard on land, the “retreat” for divers! Sounds like a perfect place where to go for an IDC and guess what, yes it is!On the 9th of February, we started our Instructor Development Course on this little paradise. Divemaster course is a really hard work to me as it deals with many tanks and equipment every day. Having a petite frame, these hard works can knock me out sometimes, nevertheless, it’s still a great experience. The environment here is good, the food was yummy, the staffs are friendly, and there are 3 lovely big dogs. Everything is simply just brilliant. Except if it could rain slightly less but we are in the raining season. Despite the rain, the visibility is good underwater.
Lynn
Hey folks!
So Here I am in Bunaken Island and after a little over a week and I can tell you I have survived! You can say I have thrown myself into the deep end with this my first days of diving were straight to learning a rescue course then starting on my Divemaster training with Instructor Markus and the other DMT Romana (who is at a similar level of experience to myself).
Even in low season we are quite busy here in Bunaken. We are in the middle of raining season and it was raining quite a bit in the last few weeks. The last few days we had hardly any rain at all though.
Nusa Lembongan: (Nov 1st-21st)
3 weeks into our divemaster course and we are already saying goodbye to Nusa Lembongan, for now at least, to fly onto Manado and join the two fish crew in Bunaken. What an action filled, learning curve this past 3 weeks has been!
