Cost of eLearning - it costs US$300 to register for the IDC eLearning  BUT you save 2 days on the IDC (don;t have to attend the IDC Presentations), AND we'll give you €100 discount on the price of the IDC.

1. E-Learning Presentations either Online or live (over 2 days)

Before the 2 day prep course, candidates need to have completed either the E-Learning portion of the IDC on-line
OR
Participate in these on-line presentations, presented live by the PADI Course Director or Staff Instructors over 2 earlier days. This will be arranged before the EFR Instructor and IDC 2 day prep courses.

2. Emergency First Response Instructor Course - 1 Day

Before you can be certified as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor, you need to have first completed the EFR Instructor course. The EFR Instructor course only takes one day to complete. IDC candidates who still need to complete this requirement, may join the EFR Instructor course which starts 2 days before the IDC 2 day prep course.

3. IDC 2 Day Prep Course - 2 Days

With the E-Learning segment of your IDC completed, we begin with the IDC Prep Course. This program has the following main goals:

• Ensure that all IDC candidates have all the necessary PADI materials and dive equipment required
• We do 2 confined water skill sessions to practice the 20 skills from the PADI Divemaster course so you go into the IDC sharp!
• We do dive theory workshops/presentations on topics including Physics, Physiology, Equipment, Decompression theory and Skills & Environment. Afterwards we give candidates practice exams.

4. PADI Instructor Development Course - 14 Days

2 Day IDC Online Presentations

1 Day EFR Instructor Course

2 Day IDC Prep: Water skills workshops & Dive theory reviews

8 Day IDC Core Program - after the IDC on-line presentations are completed using either the preferred E-Learning option or the 2 day live presentations option, the actual IDC Core program is only 8 days. Out of these 8 days, 5 days involves in-water teaching sessions.

1 Day Nitrox & Shark Awareness Instructor courses (immediately following the 2 day IE)

Additional teaching workshops during the IDC include:

• Students with mask clearing problems
• Preparing CESA lines or surface support stations
• Teaching the Controlled Emergency Swimming Ascent safely
• Lift Bag use and knot tying
• Special Risk Management workshop and Video of dive accidents
• Tec & Rebreather Diving

These workshops are NOT standard IDC practise. They are additional workshops added into the IDC by PADI Course Director Brendon Sing. These workshops will give you more experience on teaching skills safely and efficiently

All IDC programs are followed by an optional Master Scuba Diver Trainer program.

The Enriched Air Specialty Instructor and Shark Awareness Specialty Instructor Courses are provided for FREE as part of our IDC. For the MSDT, another 5 Specialty Instructor Courses need to be selected from:
