When it comes to diving in Indonesia, South Lombok is still more or less undiscovered territory, but there is plenty of diving in this part of the world: from adrenaline dives with hammerhead sharks to pristine reefs and gentle currents – it’s all there. DiveZone and Two Fish Divers have offered recreational diving trips and…
Exploration team were on the hunt this week in South Lombok for a new dive site. Myself, Jay, Moon and Edi were out on the boat trying to lock down the location of a new dive site that Jay had stumbled across just last week. Jay had been telling us tales of a dive site…
PADI Divemaster training is about to commence for our two Staff Mr. Munahir (or Moon as most know him) and Mr. Ipan, and we wish them every success!
They are both ready but also a little nervous as it is going to test some of their weaker areas such as physics, physiology and their general English skills, but we have every confidence that they will succeed.
This week, our team came out in force to participate in Trash Hero Amed’s largest ever beach clean-up! 105 people helped collect over 300 kgs of trash, much of it plastic that would otherwise have ended up in the sea (thanks to Mataboolan Photography for the picture). Needless to say, the beach in front of the dive centre looks pristine at the moment and we’ll make sure it stays this way. In other news, our IDC candidates are getting ready for their instructor exam and everyone is keeping their fingers crossed for them (not that they need it).
This week, our whole team – from dive guide trainee to assistant manager – got together for an underwater clean-up of our house reef. Amed’s house reef might initially look like a sandy slope, but look closer and you can spot many amazing creatures like the longhorn cowfish or the flying gurnard.
In the run up to PADI Womens Dive Day 2016 with Two Fish Divers we thought we’d introduce you to the girls in our team, and share their stories of how they got into diving and what they love about it… First up is Team Lombok – Here we’re going to meet Martine and Kate!
We continuously educate our staff and send them also to external courses to enable them to serve our guests diving in Bunaken with the highest standard. Please see below some examples of the current staff education.
This week has been fantastic for both large and small marine creatures in Bunaken with a particularly lucky group seeing a pod of ten eagle rays on one single dive! All around the island we’re seeing plenty of ornate ghost pipefish on many of our favourite dives. And there is a new face around as well!

Big congratulations to Purwati who completed the Lembongan Marine Association (LMA) First Aid course yesterday.
Purtwati is our Assistant Manager in our resort in Lembongan, and she answers many of the reservation emails from guests who want to stay/dive with us in Lembongan.
We would like to say a big Thank You and Good Luck to Brendon from all of us at Two Fish. Brendon left Two Fish Divers on Thursday after 5 years, to concentrate full time on Shark Guardian. Everyone who have met Brendon will realize that this is a big passion of his. We wish…
