From Lembeh to Bunaken, my DMT course has been wonderful.
Dani started off my course in Lembeh with Search and Recovery as well as Wreck Diving, two of the included specialties. Search and Recovery was as it sounds, but Wreck Diving was like no other diving I have ever experienced.
The Return of the Magic – Assisting with Dive Classes
Tim and I greeted our students: Simon and Bronwyn from Oregon and Matthias from France. How incredible of a small world is it that we traveled all the way to Indonesia to meet people from Corvallis, Oregon – less than 3 hours from our home town?
Feeling at home.
There is a song with a lyric that states that “home is where ever I’m with you”. For me the “you” is a wonderful redheaded girl named Sara and where ever we are together is just fine with me. But other things add to that feeling of home.
Why are we doing the Divemaster Certification? Why are we doing it with Two Fish? Why did we leave the United States? These are questions we are asked around the Two Fish dinner table most evenings. Tim and I want to become Divemasters because we would like to travel the tropical world and obtain skills to earn money while we are there. I want to be a Divemaster because I love the ocean and its inhabitants and want to share that incredible underwater world with others. And, I love teaching – seeing that light turn on for someone when they have understood a new skill.
On the 8th of October, Sara and I started a life transition. From living in a cabin in the woods in the USA to a group of small islands in Indonesia.
