sea snake in lembonganThis week in Lembongan we had the great opportunity to watch a black and white banded sea snake on the hunt looking for little fish to snack on for lunch.

Together with Sam and Faith from Singapore we went for a dive at Crystal Bay and we were observing this beautiful creature for a couple of minutes – but of course always with a respectful distance to this very venomous animal!!

Some Molas are Still Around in Lembongan - Mola seasonThis week in Lembongan… The mola season may officially be over and it was not what we were all expecting but we have had a surprise turn of events this week, with our divers spotting 2 molas on 2 different dives through and another dive centre spotting 4 molas together on 1 dive. This is not to say that the mola season is coming late, but great to see that some are still around.

The Seemingly Strange Sea CucumbersThis week in Lembongan… An often over looked sea creature by experienced divers and a creature that our guides rarely point out. But very often while teaching PADI Open Water courses or diving with first time divers we get the full finger point and a shrug of the shoulders when passing by these strange sea cucumbers. Sea cucumbers come in many different colors, shapes and sizes, some very plain and others that look like something out of an alien movie.

Mola Mola At Crystal Bay In NUsa LembonganThis week in Lembongan… They seem to be here already – Molas in Crystal Bay. The quite cold upwellings (18°C) in Crystal Bay have brought the Mola to shallower parts of the ocean where our divers could witness them being cleaned.
