Both of them took up diving 20 years ago in UK as a hobby, and they were on a round-the-world trip when they first visited Bunaken Island in 1998. They loved the diving so much that they decided not to return to their 9-to-5 jobs in London but instead to stay and open up their own dive centre. Two Fish Divers started operations on Bunaken Island with 1 dive-guide and 1 dive-boat, and it has been built up slowly and now there are 2 small dive resorts, 7 dive-guides and 4 dive-boats.
Why did they decide to stay and make a life on a tropical island? They just love the diving! They want their guests to also love the diving, and they try and make sure this happens by ....
-
.... having small dive operations that cater for a maximum of 20 divers on Bunaken Island and 8 divers on Lembeh Island
-
.... making sure that there are small numbers of guests on each dive-boat
-
.... continually training their staff in professional practices
-
.... having guests dive in small groups - it is not uncommon for guests to dive with their own diveguide
-
.... encouraging guests to have long dives, sometimes more than an hour - there is only one rule, you have to surface with 40bar in the tank
-
.... making sure that the dive masters practice safe diving practices such as giving dive briefings and keeping to sensible depth limits
-
.... having really friendly staff working on the boat and at the resort
Two Fish Dive-guides
Our dive guides also make us different. They are all from the surrounding area and know the dive sites really well. They are all certified to at last PADI Rescue Diver, speak great english, and are excellent at looking after guests above and below the sea. With our policy of small groups of less than 4 guests per diveguide, they are more like dive buddies rather than your typical guide!

We now have Nitrox in Lembeh. Price is €4/fill for 1-9 tanks and €3/fill for more than 10 tanks. Coming soon to Bunaken as well!!
