This week in Lembongan… It has been all about the sand, with many sand creatures taking up residence in the sandy bay of Crystal Bay. Our guides have been able to guarantee frog fish and seahorses. We may have also seen the big manta rays patrolling the waters of Lembongan this week, but our guides have also spent a lot of time this week working their way through the sand canyon of Crystal bay and picking out the tiny creatures that lay hidden there. We have even had guests requesting back to back dives at Crystal Bay, to explore more of the hidden treasures.
Manta rays are not the only large creatures that have been spotted this week, we have also had some pre-season molas popping up from the blue to say hello to our divers. Dive guide Yayan, was one of the lucky ones that had the chance to show his guests two of these weird and wonderful creatures being cleaned just off the reef in the north of Nusa Penida.
It just goes to show, even if the mantas are on a day off or the molas are too shy to have people watch them be cleaned, the reefs around Lembongan and Penida hide a large amount of tiny macro creatures that put our guides spotting skills to the test. After one dive at Crystal Bay, we had one guest come up and say, that it was like a Nudibranch factory down there.
