This Week in Lembeh….Sheep Graze? A popular subject at the moment is the famous “Shawn the Sheep” more correctly known as a Sapsucking Slug (Costasiella). This little guy can be quite a tricky subject growing to an average size of about 7mm. Being that size obviously and smaller can make it tricky to fully see them in all their glory with just the naked eye. Either way it a great find and even better when a photo somewhat works out!
Guest Linda was sad to leave us this week, but has had the opportunity to cross off many critters from her “to see” list. Things such as: Pygmy Seahorses, Coconut octopus, and Flamboyant cuttlefish. She was always excited to describe the things she had seen after everydive. JJ loved seeing countless new species while trying to get the best photo possible, Bobtailed squid being a popular one for her.
Laurie and Micheal couldn’t get enough of not only the fish but corals and things like Urchins. They were pleasantly surprised by the variety of diving in Lembehthat Lembeh has to offer. As well we have been seeing: Blue Ringed Octopus, Ambon Scorpion Fish, Boxer Crabs, Marbeld Shrimp, Zebra Batfish, Skeleton Shrimp, Stargazers, among the common critters we see here.
