This week in Lembeh…. It’s Melibe Madness! We have been seeing Green Melibe’s (Melibe Viridis) Nudibranchs in quite a few different spots. These large and odd looking Nudies can grow up to 12cm and are usually found searching the ground with their oral hood for its next meal. Dom was able to see a few on his short visit from our sister dive shop in Bunaken. He was also very happy to see his very first Stargazer.
Mike and Faustine have been going crazy over the amount of new Nudies they have been able to add to their logbooks. They also have had things checked off their list every day. Everyone has been busy with their eyes peeled for the next new and exciting thing. We have been seeing: Rough snout ghostpipefish, Wonderups, Tiger shrimp, Harlequin shrimp, Cryptic shrimp, Painted frogfish, Long arm Octopus, Bobtailed squid, Flamboyant cuttlefish, Ambon scorpionfish, and of course nudies, nudies, nudies.
i hope theyre still there in 4 weeks!
