This week in Lembongan…. What an amazing week we’ve had over here in Lembongan. Not only have we had multiple visits from the usual suspects, our friends the bantas, but we were graced with multiple visits from the Mola’s too. Both underwater and breaching on our surface intervals, which is always a shock!
The molas were so close to our groups that amazing videos were shot by our customers, on a very clear day of diving. Adding to all of this we were lucky enough to have a close up encounter with the largest fish in the ocean, the Whale Shark, which can grow to over 12m in length, ours was a mere teenager coming in at an approximate 5m. We are still waiting to here back from www.whaleshark.org for identification of the little chap.
We are very happy to be joined by two of the team from MMF (Marine Mega Forna) who will be continuing there ongoing research and identification with us.
Along with the Marine Mega Fornas research, the Two Fish team have been attending their free manta and marine life talks, which are well worth checking out every Tuesday and Thursday. Plus on Sunday they always show a nice documentary with open discussions at the end.
This Saturday we have a big beach clean going on from 3-4pm, which is being arranged by our new star, Divemaster trainee, Eanna. Everyone and anyone are more than welcome to come and help us clean up some of the washed up trash on the beach, so we can keep this stunning island clean and stop the mantas from swallowing the wrong type of food.
In other news one of our star Dive Guides from Bunaken, Ferry, will be turning the ripe old age of 26! Proving just how good he is, he will be attending the beach clean too!
Keep checking us out on Facebook where we will post all the results of cleanups along with all the awesome marine life we are seeing in the area!!!
Awesome! Loved seeing Molas diving with you guys! Let us know who the little teenager is if you hear anything ?
