I have been on my Dive Master Training for a week now and I have enjoyed each single day so far.
It is amazing how welcoming the whole team at Two Fish in Bunaken is and how supportive. From day one I have felt as part of the team and this enables me to learn and pick up knowledge whatever I do and wherever I go here.
It all started with the 24 skills in the pool where I actually realised that I, in fact did not learn all of them during my Open Water Course. This was interesting to find out and I started practising them to make sure I will be able to get to an demonstration level by the end of this course. But with the great patience of Dion and Markus I am on the safe side ?!
Furthermore I was really excited when I was first time able to assist our instructor Markus on an Adventure Night Dive with 4 Open Water Students. It was a great experience and I learned a lot during this dive.
During one Fun Dive I stayed on the boat and made not only sure that everybody was back on board after the dive but I also gave the briefings during the 2 dives.
Yesterday I was able to assist Dion on 2 Adventure Courses with our wonderful student Max from Sweden. It was a lot of fun despite it being a course and Max mastered the Navigation and Peak Performance Buoyancy Course really well.
In the afternoon I was able to watch and assist Roly in the compressor room. I was surprised to find out that it actually takes up to 15 minutes to fill 2 tanks simutaneously. For some odd reasons I was under the impression that this would be much quicker. So it is great to see everything at first hand and to understand and learn how everything works in a dive center/resort.
Oh and last but not least I have learned how to inflate my SMB underwater and I was so proud ?!
Yours,
Conny
