Hi! My name is Simone and I come from Switzerland. I am the new dive master trainee at TwoFish Divers Bunaken. I started the PADI dive master course one week ago, after having finished the PADI rescue diver course with TwoFish Divers as well.
I am really impressed with the warm welcome I experienced here at TwoFish Divers. It‘s my first time travelling alone and for such a long time, it is also my first time in Indonesia as well, so I was very exited.
I am dividing my dive master course across three different TwoFish Divers locations, which is really cool! After two weeks in Bunaken, I will move on to join the team on Nusa Lembongan, I then will continue at TwoFish Divers Gili Air. I will return to Nusa Lembongan for the last two weeks to complete my dive master training.
Here on Bunaken Island the staff and the divers are like a little family. We all eat our meals together and chat at the bar in the evenings- and imagine – I am even motivated to help loading the boat early in the morning (which is part of a dive master trainees job).
In the middle of the week another dive master trainee, Tom, arrived: It’s nice to have a buddy to share the challenges with, such as the 400m swim test in the ocean, practicing the diving skills in the pool, all other dutries and the fun, like last night we went on a night dive together. And then there is the studying…. well there could be worse places 😉
It’s all very well organised, I get answers to all my questions from the instructors so I am really looking forward to the next week. A big thank you to Dion, Ilse and Sam for taking me on as their new dive master trainee.
In the picture you can see me on the left side, together with my instructor, Ilse and our Discover Scuba Diver, Veronique from France on the right. The smiles on our faces say it all….we had an amazing dive!
