Diverse aquatic life await you in Gili Air! It is true that Gili air is known for being the “Turtle Capital” of the Indonesian region. But we have so much more to offer than the beautiful and slow-moving turtles that are out and about on our dive sites. Just this week alone we have so many other great sightings if you are also slow moving like the turtle and have a watchful eye. We were joined by Anton and Maria from Australia that have spent an entire week diving with us and they have found just about all the macro critters that they have been looking for. From coconut octopus, to pygmy sea horses, ghost pipefish and scorpion leaf fish. So many great finds and they are all here in Gili Air! Here is a great shot of Giant Frog fish found on Meno Slope. Good Job Instructor Scuba Sal on this find!
It makes sense why so many guest of Dive Zone powered by Two Fish happen to walk by and see what we have to offer and join us for a Discovery Scuba Dive. Welcome to the dive club Eve, Laura, Jessica, Marat, Michael, Qingyu, and Tess. These new divers kept Instructor Kuss and Instructor Mermaid Meg busy this week. This week we also welcome some new Open Water Divers to the community, Happy Bubbles to Adi, Sravya, Natasha, and Nicholas that worked with Instructor Scuba Sal and Instructor Kuss to accomplish their certification. Scuba smiles all around!
This week we are also joined by Ashley on week 4 & 5 of her Divemaster Internship with Two Fish. She will be contributing to the blog on her day-to-day activities on her journey to become Divemaster! Welcome to Gili Air Ashley! We are thrilled to have you join the Dive Zone powered by Two Family.
Stay tuned to our Facebook page and our blog to see what other finds come across here at Dive Zone Gili Air. Happy Bubbles!
