Night Dive in GIli Air.
Have you ever been night diving? Night dives can be very exhilarating and fun. We get to encounter the most interesting things when the sun goes down. Our House Reef is just steps from Dive Zone and perfect for a night splash. We are able to comfortably gear up at the shop then enter easily from the beach. Here in Gili Air we begin our dives at dusk in order to see the Mandarin Fish spawning. As the sun disappears we use our torches to illuminate our path. We are like teams of explores heading out into the night giddy with anticipation of what discoveries we may find like the hard to find Halimeda Ghost Pipefish. Your frame of vision is limited to the light of your torch so you begin to focus on the little things which we tend to miss when we dive during the day.
This week we were joined on night dives with certified fun divers, advanced open water students Martina and Luke, and Divemaster Trainee Ashley. Night dives are for everyone. Come join us in Gili Air to experience one for yourself.
We are keeping Divemaster Trainee Ashley busy with assisting Open Water and Advanced Open Water courses as well as Discover Scuba Diving and even Fun Dives. She completed her first night dive in Gili Air and absolutely loved it, happily joining us for the following two night dives.
Welcome to the underwater world Luke, who completed his Open Water Course with instructor Mermaid Meg and couldn’t let his curiosity of the deep stop him from pursuing his Advanced Open Water. Upon completing both courses he celebrated all his hard work with some Fun Dives with our guide Jen. Thank you for lighting up our boat with you energy. Congrats to Martina for completing her Advanced Open Water with instructor Scuba Sal, she will be well prepared for deep and wreck diving in Amed. Nickolas completed his Open Water with instructor Kuss and is prepared for the underwater world, Happy Bubbles new divers.
